125th Anniversary Festival Worship, December 2

swedishluthbuilding editedHoly Trinity Lutheran Church is celebrating its 125th anniversary Saturday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m.

The church will celebrate the vision and determination of a group of Lutheran immigrants who, in 1892, formed the Lebanon Evangelical Lutheran Church on Williams Street.

With the generous gift of land from Elise Ames Parker, the congregation moved to its current Lincoln Street location in 1959.

The service includes the guest preacher, the Rev. Cheryl Larsen Lawing as well as a variety of special music including a prelude by four guest musicians who will play “Air à l’Italien” from Telemann’s “Suite in A minor for Recorder and Strings,” a short piece by the Bell Choir, two Choir anthems, “A Song of Thanksgiving” by John Ferguson and “Rejoice in the Lord Always” (also known as “the Bell Anthem”) by Henry Purcell which will be sung by a guest trio and the choir with string quartet accompaniment. Singers from Coro Allegro, United First Parish in Quincy and other congregations will join the choir.

There will be a reception following the service. All are invited to attend.

Holy Trinity is located at 143 Lincoln St., North Easton. For more information, please call 508-238-6666
